Hotel Marchica Lagoon Resort, Nador Morocco

Very beautiful entrance with fountains and views. I was excited to see such international facility. But then, I get out of my car and none of the 5-6 workers standing at the entrance helped me with the car door. I go through the doors and a worker run towards me not to say hello or welcome. He was more interested in harassing me because I came in with a dog. His attitude just turned my positive feelings into another Moroccan nightmare. The hotel is clearly announced as a pet friendly and service animals hotel. but the moment I came in was harassed by everyone in the lobby asking lots of unnecessary questions about the dog. It gets really tiresome to educate Moroccan about people with disabilities, service animals and in general customer services. Hotel managers and investors must ensure that the staff is properly trained to deal with international clients. After 45 minutes of interrogations and preparation of documents, we got to clarify expectations. We got to the room and it was absolutely beautiful. Observation and recommendations: pets and service animals are different, people with disabilities don’t want to be call attention to themselves.

I stayed here wiggle traveling with my fiancé and family. There were 5 of us total. We checked into the hotel and it was by far one of the most beautiful and elegant hotels I have been in but it was just that. The service was horrible and is the reason why I won’t return for future visits. Check in was a nightmare because they wouldn’t let my cousins (3 females) stay in a room together. So between the 5 of us we had to get 3 rooms which totaled out to over $600 USD. It’s unfortunate but hopefully it’s a wake up call to the hotel that your customers may not remember who they interacted with during their stay but they will undeniably remember how you made them feel.

Luxurious and nice place worth the money they have a lot of great stuff like indoor/ outdoor pool sauna. Don’t do the buffet it’s over priced! The hotel staff are sorta scammers and will try to hustle you for extra money and don’t let them call a cab for you it will cost 2x or more then if you call your self, other then that it’s a great safe beautiful place
